Set a default 'Stream to' device?

Hi,

Just started using the software and so far it’s excellent! I’m using Windows 10 on a laptop streaming over Wi-Fi to a Yamaha RX-V475 receiver.

Is it possible to save a default ‘Stream to’ device in the software? I had a quick look in the config file, but there doesn’t seem to be an option for it.

Thanks!

Chris

Great idea! Me too…

yes, really helpful to set a default device on windows PC

I will test it like this. Just found it in changelog for version 1.4:

Streaming to a Media Renderer by starting SWYH.exe with the command line argument “-streamto: XX” (where XX is the name of your Media Renderer)

tested this with little outcome: SWYH started - but without media renderer selected.

Here is my used code:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Stream What You Hear\SWYH.exe” -streamto: Wohnzimmer

ps:

  • tried it with or without “:” and/or space between
  • instead of the name ip-adress did not work too

I made a desktop shortcut and added the :streamto command to the target.
It works great on my machine.

The device name ‘Olive4HD-Renderer’ is the device name from the SWYH options panel. There is a space between the streamto: and the device name.

Target: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Stream What You Hear\SWYH.exe” -streamto: Olive4HD-Renderer
